Tales have reached the ears of the feared
Khan Khalek and the jewel of his heart
Khatun Branwyn. They have heard of a young
man of bright promise.
This berserker first came to the Kingdom as
a youth warrior and immediately began
clearing the field of all comers!

Indeed he won his first tourney and was
invited to sit at high table that very day.
Since then his chivalry and skill at arms have
impressed all those who have seen his
deeds.  That being so the Khan and Khatun
command Ulrich von Baden
son of Snaebjorn and Bera.
be brought before them at this Great
Pennsic War so they may look upon him and
reward him for his efforts.  They award him
arms so that he may always wear his colors
proudly

(Sable, a chevron throughout Or mullety Sable and in base a spear entwined by a serpent Or)

as he battles for the Kingdom given this fifth day of
August Anno Societatis  forty third.

But the tale does not end here. Ulrich excels in heavy combat. For his martial skill they also award
unto him the Golden Alce.

And still this tale does not end as their Majesties are sure to hear more about Ulrich for years to
come.

This unique scroll was created jointly by the hands and hearts of Lady Marija Kotok, who handled
the basic design and wording, and

Laird Grimolfr Ormulfsson, who collaborated on the design and then translated the words and

actually crafted the project. Both artisans are from the Shire of Sylvan Glen.
