| Legends and “The Dream” by Lady Mariia Kotokova Long ago though it may seem Twas a time when we had not the dream! Folk gathered and some had a thought.... That perhaps times gone-bye was what they sought! They all wished for better times, For folk to be kind... and maybe even to speak in rhymes? Visions of the past floated through their heads. As they longed for chivalry not to be dead! They thought of Ladies, Kings, and knights. And Of those who fought for others’ rights! Remembering myths and legends of the past. Those Creeds and deeds of Olde did last. At first a few friends, then a few more, Now shires spring up on foreign shores. Folk gather and make all manner of things; whatever talent each may have they bring. They gather armor and weapons to go play war. Bringing plastic barrels and duct tape galore! Why do they do that you may say? Why do they spend time in this play? Because even in these modern days it seems... That each one of us still has need of dreams! |
